GREETINGS FROM SOUTH BEACH
I was way overdue for some fun so we went to Miami from June 20-23rd...it was a lil longer than that but...thats a long story...anyway. I had a blast in South Beach hanging with friends and taking in the sights. We Partied at Opium, Forge and Mansion along side Trina, Trick Daddy and Megan Goode. My boy Ali introduced us to his friends that we call the Asian connection and we all partied so damn hard that really its still going on...lmao
South Beach is truely a great place to go and have fun. From all the stores to the food to the great people...wow...we had a great time. The pic is from day one in Miami...my only complaint was that my damn flight had to circle Miami for like an hour due to weather...how weird it was to look out the window and see the beaches of South Beach and think "my friends are down there waiting for me" lol. Well after that sucka landed I went and found my girl April and we began a great adventure. Shout out to my Barber Mike who has his own clothing line called FACES and I was wearing one of his Shirts....if you havent been to South Beach...book a trip NOW!!!

THANK GOD I DRIVE!!!!
See its situations like the video below that make me think that paying $3.96 at the gas station is worth it. I take from the accent of this chick, this was somewhere in Atlanta...though the subway car looks a lot like the ones in DC...hmmm in any event this is why I am going to start a petition to have Souldjah Boy banned from America.....I keep telling my nephews that his music is of the devil and now here is undisputed proof that his music is evil!!!...where is C. Delores Tucker when you need her....

The Latest
Well its been a few weeks so a quick update...I decided that after 3 years of working for other people, I was going to step out there on faith and pursue my own dreams. So I took advantage of an opportunity to leave my position with a nice hefty separation package and try to do me.
On April 9th, I began working independently, its a scary concept of waking up and not having a place to go such as work...but I know its going to work out greatly. So recently I have been out and networking with my homies Designer Annette Williams and Actress / Radio Personality April Watts...we have been getting our names and products out there even more. We will be in Miami from June 20-23rd for the Miami Jump-Off that will showcase the designs of Annette Williams of Contagious Crochet in Southbeach!!!!....can you beleive it?...I am so proud of her. My Magazine Velocity will be in the house for the event as well as April Watts hosting and filming for her TV Show....things have really been good so far...I even purchased my first pair of NIKES EVER!!!!(yes Royce, they are great lol)...I am usually as New Balance person.
The new issue of Velocity Magazine which features Model Lizz Robbins, Artist Ricky Day and Tips to Better Sex is about to drop as well as the NEW website for it thanks to my boy Mr. Supreme that is doing his thing on it!...so if your going to be in Miami during June 20-236rd let me know and I will hook you up with some passes..there will be a lot of celebs in the house as well...you dont want to miss the Miami Jump-Off..
OH and before I forget...Velocity Magazine will be having a special celebration next month in DC we are keeping it under wraps right now cause you know people like to steal ideas and shit...lol..but more details on that to come. So until then stop by and say hello!

Man Of Many Hats
Well my Birthday was this past Wednesday March 26th and another year went by, I thought that it would be a relatively quiet day since it was on hump day this week but I actually had a lunch date and then later that night I went to dinner with my girl April Watts. Well let me back track, on Tuesday night my homey and co-host of The T-Time Show (every Tuesday night at 7pm-9pm on www.im4radiodc.com)took me out after we got off air and we had dinner and drinks and on Wednesday April just finished off what was started on Tuesday...we were both tore up.
On Saturday the friends got together and we all went to Phillips on the DC Waterfront for a Seafood Brunch in celebration of my Birthday to all my family that came including April Watts, Annette Williams, Tyi Flood, Model Donna Swinson, Blogger Leon Scott of www.listentoleon.net, Velocity Magazine Photographers Sibohan Philemon and Robert Arnold, Actor Walter Jones, Director Malik Pollard and His Wife Trisha and their kids and Models Leo Cort and Fraz.
It was then that I realized how blessed I was to have such great and crazy people in my life. I also realized that I am the cause of a lot of people Alcohol addictions...lmao..I mean hell, if we at the bar; why not drink right? After being at the Buffet for over 5 hours and getting nasty looks from the patrons that were waiting to be seated we finally rolled out. My day didnt end though, I had to go be a supportive co-host to my co-hosts of The T-Time Show Tyi Flood who was hosting a Fashion Show that evening and Ms. Jahsie who was in the Fashion Show. After that was over, I had to segue into the supportive Editor of Velocity Magazine and friend as our Marketing and Sales Representaive Latonya Adams was having her Birthday Party across town at that time..my head was pounding and I was starting to feel those drinks. I showed up and Latonya was three shades in the wind..I love her, truth be told thats also my drinking partner..so I did my thing at her party for a while and I was asked "hey I know you, what dont you do?" and I had to think about it for a while and I thought to myself, damn I wear a lot of hats and here they are:
- Publisher, Editor, Owner and Contributing Writer of Velocity Magazine
- Actor
- Film Producer / Writer
- Radio Co-Host
- TV Show Correspondent Whats Hot Watts (Coming Soon to D.C.)
- TV Show Host for my upcoming entertainment program (T.B.A.) in the fall (Coming to Maryland and D.C.)
I need a damn vacation, but I wouldn't have it any other way, cause trust me when I say...my day is coming and its going to be worth all of the hard work!

Vintage Post from October 2005
Thanks to my good friend Monica Booker for pointing out this blog from my myspace page...I forgot all about it until she used my last few lines as a quote on her page...so here it is again for your enjoyment...Thanks Mo!
October 30,2005
Today I was on the subway and I noticed a couple across from me. The female was simply beautiful and very alluring (caucasion). Her boyfriend was as we would say Thuggin out.......wife beater, army fatigues and timberlands the whole look. They seemed like a really loving couple. As a matter of fact she was giving him so much affection it started to make me wish that I was not single...lol...so during the course of the subway ride this couple were very lovable towards each other..kissing, laughing and really in love.
Well at one of the stops a group of guys got on the train and they recognized the guy that was with his girlfriend...suddenly his mood changed and he pushed her off of him and instantly became someone else...i.e. his demeanor and attitude changed. As his friends came closer he greeted them not once introducing his female companion as his girlfriend / sex partner subway attendant..anything...so I was thinking "WTF"...as the ride continued the female looked at him and said "baby arent you going to introduce me?"...the other guys got quiet and looked as he stated "Fuck you need an introduction for?"...as his friends laughed...the young lady had tears in her eyes and said "I'm sorry"....and I was thinking again "WTF"...a few moments later the guys stop came and they approched the door...as they did they looked at him and one said "Aye you comin?"...I glanced over thinking to myself..He is not about to leave her on this train...and as sure as I thought it....he got up without a word to her and got off the train!
As the doors closed and the train moved forward...she began to breakdown and cry profusely...so I asked her if she was okay and she said "no not really"...so I had to ask her...was that your boyfriend and she said yes..so I said...why did he treat you like that in front of his friends..and she replied.."I am the first white girl that he dated so I think he is ashamed of me".....this confused me..so I said to her..."no what just happened here was not shame..it was disrespect plain and simple" and she said..."he does it all the time when his friends come around" So I asked her the most important question..."why do you put up with it?"...she wiped her eyes and looked at me in mine and said "I love him a lot"..this made me feel really angry like I wanted to shake some sense into her and ask her..are you kidding..and at the same time it made me really sad. So I guess my question is "does loving someone a lot mean you love yourself less?" and if so..when do you gain the common sense to know better?

BBOP’s Review:
The Ties That Bind was a great movie Written, and Produced by Anthony Anderson. Never have I been so into a movie that I couldn't tare myself away from the tube. Not ever to use the men’s room. Shit is was on DVD, and I could have put my player on pause, but some things you just can’t pull yourself away, and this was one of those flicks. The movie in my opinion was based on situation we know all to well. DeLon Howell (Devin). An attractive black man trying to make a relationship work with his girlfriend Lori Lewis(Lynda) A good black woman. He has crept once before, and was forgiven. While the mouse was away the cat played once again, and was busted. How many times is one to forgive, and forget the infidelity of their mate whether it be a male or female cheating? For me the commitment is shattered from the first time one cheats. I have been one of those (Lynda’s) who have taken back a cheating lover time and time again. I finally came to my ropes end, and walked away. Once! As it was in “The Ties That Bind”
Synopsis
The Ties That Bind is an emotional rollercoaster with twist and turns around every corner. With an ending that will leave you speechless. Love, betrayal, friendship and trust play well into the emotional drama that revolves around the rocky relationship of Lynda and Devin, with stellar performance from the entire cast. The film does not disappoint!

Vanessa Williams at the S.A.G. Awards
Vanessa Williams always looks stunning when she comes to the Red Carpet Events. I am not knocking Tina Fey but I really think that Vanessa should've won Best Performance by an Actress in a Comedy Series....all people talked about since Ugly Betty began has been Vanessa's Performance...its all good though her day is coming but she looked Beautiful as usual!

CHINGY DONE LOST HIS DAMN MIND
Here is a clear example of when people get too comfortable in an interview and speak whats really on their minds...apparently Chingy dislikes the Gays...notice how his slow moving brain finally catches up to his mouth and realizes what he says as he unsuccessfully tries to clean up his statement..I would call for an immediate boycott of him but since his CD debuted at numer 84 on the charts, karma has already beat me to it!
Okay Someone Please Explain To Me
What the hell Janet Jackson was thinking about when she did this god awful video for her new song Feedback...I mean I just think this is sooooo below her normal standards...and this is supposed to launch her ahhhh comeback???....naw I dont think so. Its bad enough she is giving me T-pain like vocals in the song but now she is in space and in milk????...I guess.....note to Janet, I have a friend at Warner Music Group and she let me hear some of Madonna's tracks through her phone from a listening event and from what I heard Madonna is gonna kill 2008...Janet you have got to come stronger than this!
